Smart Camera Mount for Electric Scooters (SCMES)

Smart Camera Mount for Electric Scooters (SCMES) is a custom-engineered mounting solution designed to securely install cameras on electric scooters for mobile surveillance, AI vision, and data collection applications. The project combines CAD-based mechanical design with rapid 3D printing technology to produce a durable, lightweight, and vibration-resistant camera holder.

The mounting system was developed to provide reliable camera positioning while maintaining stability under different riding conditions. Multiple design iterations and extensive testing were performed to ensure compatibility with various scooter models and camera types, resulting in a practical and robust solution suitable for real-world deployment.

My Role

I independently managed the project from concept through production. My responsibilities included mechanical design, CAD modeling, prototype development, 3D printing, hardware assembly, testing, design optimization, and final validation. I refined the mounting system through multiple iterations to maximize stability, durability, and compatibility while ensuring practical deployment on electric scooters.
