MetroCam Mount – Smart Camera Mounting System for Dubai Metro
MetroCam Mount is a custom mechanical mounting solution designed for the Dubai Metro surveillance infrastructure. The project focused on developing robust mounting bases for surveillance cameras and server units while ensuring full compatibility with metro operational standards and next-generation camera hardware.
The system was engineered using lightweight, high-strength aluminum and precision manufacturing techniques to deliver exceptional durability, stability, and long-term performance. Extensive structural and load analysis was performed to evaluate the effects of vibration and dynamic forces generated during metro operations, ensuring reliable camera positioning and continuous surveillance performance.

My Role
I independently led the project from concept through deployment. My responsibilities included mechanical design, CAD modeling, material selection, structural analysis, compatibility engineering for new camera hardware, manufacturing coordination, prototype validation, load testing, and final implementation. I optimized the mounting system to achieve maximum stability, durability, and compliance with metro operational requirements.
